The Royal Wedding: a few thoughts

I got the first two photos off of Tumblr

This was one of my FAVORITE moments from the wedding, aside from first seeing Kate's gorgeous gown ... when Prince Harry sneaked a peek at Kate walking down the aisle and smiled and turned to say something to Prince William ... I can only imagine the things he told him. (Wait till you see her? She looks amazing?)

Then, this is out of order since these are the night reception dresses, but I loved everything that Pippa Middleton wore (side note: LOVE.LOVE.LOVE the nickname Pippa. Not a huge fan of Philippa but totally in love with Pippa!)

And she was just perfection the whole day..

SO CUTE!

Are hats in style in Britain? How did everyone know to go out and buy the craziest hat they could possibly find and wear it to the Royal Wedding? Some of them were absolutely faaaabulous and made me want to wear a crazy funky hat to the next wedding I go to!

Okay, but what was UP with this hat?!?!?!?!?!

And last, but certainly not least... she was abso-fricking-lutely gorgeous. Drop dead gorgeous!

Did you watch? What did you think?

Tumblr thursday

Good morning all! This morning we will be headed off to Tiny Tots again (tuesday was a pool park day-- hot mess!). I have been busy, busy, busy. We were thinking of taking a trip before the Brookester turned TWO, but with it coming up so fast I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, have a wonderful thursday and enjoy the pictures!

I LOVE this little cottage (?) and the garden in front

Sweet messages

Who wants to make me some royal wedding cookies? Yum!

I thought this was so funny and sad at the same time..

So cute! I couldn't think of WHY you would do this, but it's adorable.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1)

A mason jar chandelier for outside?! OH YES PLEASE!

Video of the Bubs

Taken a few weeks ago ... my girl learning her shapes. She's almost perfected them. My parents came over for dinner one night and she had gotten octagon and pentagon mixed up and my dad tried to explain to her (quite seriously) that penta meant FIVE and octa meant EIGHT. I just looked at him and laughed.

Missed the boat!

Okay, so the WILW linky is closed, so I'm going to do my own "WILW/Miscellany Monday" (since I didn't participate this week!)

1: first things first, I am loving THIS VIDEO from Sarah Kay titled "If I should have a daughter" .. beautiful. Watch the first half -- her 'poem.'

2: I am loving this adorable dress from shopruche.com ... in fact all of their clothes are ADORABLE!

3: I am so very excited for William and Kate's wedding. I know I've said it before, and I'll probably post about it again, but I CANNOT WAIT! I can't wait to see the dress, the details, the handsome Prince, what the guests wear ... a real royal wedding! ♥

4: I am totally, completely, madly in love with Reese's wedding dress

5: I do not understand for the life of me why Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are STILL in the magazines. How are we glorifying two people who were both married, had affairs with each other, divorced their spouses, then got married?!?!?! BAFFLES ME. I see them in the news every other day it seems!

6: Last but not least ... because I haven't posted about my secret baby name obsession, Toni Collette named her son Arlo Robert. I'm still thinking about how I feel about this one, but I think I like it. A lot. How do you guys feel about it?

In other news,
Kevin James named his son Kannon Valentine. Not quite my style.
Steve Sanders Ian Ziering named his daughter Mia Loren. Cute, but ... not my favorite.

Easter 2011 (very picture heavy!)

Picture portraits of my sassy girl

Brooke and the dogs are besties. At the very second my flash went off, Zoe decided she had to sneeze [sigh]

On Saturday we went to an Easter Egg hunt at a rec center

Saw the Easter bunny, but this was the closest we got (little girly is sporting her new Tom's!)

Eggs EVERYWHERE!

Which ONE do I pick up?!

Then we had dinner with Vance's family on Easter Sunday (spent Saturday with my side)

Vance and his sister (twins, right?!)

My MIL, Brooke and myself (Vance took the picture one second too late and my MIL wasn't really smiling and Brooke wasn't looking)

Hunted for eggs. .. Brooke found the golden egg and this is how grandpa taught her to open them!

Played an Easter game where you have to blow up tiny balloons to make "rabbit ears"

Brooke tried to help

Here's the finished product, HAHA!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! We did go to church on Sunday, but we tried a different location (our church has various locations all over the island) and I think we're sticking with our original church even though it's a farther drive. :)

Tiny Tots Easter ...

Hi all, yesterday was Tiny Tot's Easter celebration. I thought we were so prepared and ready -- the instructions were to bring 2 hard boiled eggs and an Easter basket. We went above and beyond and brought COOKIES for everyone! Well, once I got there I realized that a lot of people had made individually wrapped goodie bags for all the kiddos. WHOOPS. I know I'll never be THAT mom that's flawless and perfect, but geez I really thought I had it right this time, ha ha!

Here are our Easter eggs we dyed. Yesterday was a real mommy photographer's dream, but since it was only me and my girly I was busy helping her do everything and didn't get a chance to take too many pictures unfortunately :(

Here we are waiting for the Easter egg hunt. MOMENTS before we went outside for this a little boy launched a block at Brooke's face (under her right eye) and she just started SCREAMING. :( I was so sad and didn't say anything to the boy's mom, but a grandma in the group did say soemthing to her after he hit her granddaughter. I need advice on what I could say to her next time without leaving her feeling like I've attacked her son. Really have nothing against him, but... yeah.

Go little girl! :)

Me trying to play photographer while encouraging her to GET THEM EGGS!

Madness at Tiny Tots! You can see her little bruise here...

Someone's dad was kind enough to dress up as the Easter bunny.. (It was so.hot outside, I really give him credit!)

Brooke and her friend Kzo watched from a distance. I wanted to take a picture with him, but she was already a little rattled from the block incident, so I didn't push it..

Kzo showing me her loot!

Look at how many we got!

Back inside, being silly

Eating Easter cookies

Then we ate at Ruby Tuesday's for lunch ... here's my girly playing around on the trees

Girly and her grandma :)

Hope everyone has a GOOD FRIDAY! ♥
